The first press render of the upcoming HTC 10 smartphone leaked a few days ago. Now, new images show the handset in four different color variations - black, white, gold, and silver.
In the months and weeks leading up to the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, and LG G5 at Mobile World Congress in February, there was no shortage of leaks regarding all three smartphones.
We even got a chance to see the Galaxy S7 compared to the Galaxy S6 and S5 from a leaked internal Samsung presentation. Moreover, right before Samsung's Feb. 21 press event, we reported on the leaked images that showed just how much bigger the 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge was compared to the 5.1-inch Galaxy S7.
LG tried to keep its LG G5 under wraps, but in January reports surfaced and claimed the G4 successor would feature a new metal exterior and first-of-its-kind modular design, along with a render of what the smartphone would look like. LG will release the G5 on April 8 in Canada.
Meanwhile, HTC reportedly will unveil its next-gen 2016 flagship handset a couple days later on April 19.
Like Samsung and LG, HTC is now experiencing almost daily leaks of its yet-to-be announced HTC 10 smartphone. Rumor has it that the handset will be offered in three internal storage configurations - 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB.
Most recently, the first press render of the HTC 10 hit the Web and provided an up close and personal look at the smartphone's updated design from all angles. Hot on the heels of that leak, images of the HTC 10 have emerged showing the smartphone in four color options.
The HTC 10 will be available in at least four color options; black, white, silver, and gold. The device in these images matches the previously leaked press render, complete with chamfered edges and physical home button that will house the smartphone's fingerprint scanner.
As always, we'll keep you updated on any new HTC 10 details as they become available.

HTC might be making a whole bunch of Nexus phones

It's being rumoured that HTC has signed a deal with Google to make Nexus phones for the next three years.
Those with long memories and a love of smartphone tech will recall that HTC made the very first Nexus phone, the Nexus One, back in 2010. Since then, other manufacturers have stepped in, though we should point that HTC made the Nexus 9 tablet in 2014.
Now the Taiwanese manufacturer might have won the right to make another Nexus phone. In fact, it could be making several.
According to a report from Chinese website MyDrivers, HTC has signed a deal with Google to make Nexus smartphones for the next three years. Given that this year brought two Nexus phones, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, this could mean as many as six HTC Nexus phones if true.
It seems to accompany rumours that Google is looking to take more of a hands-on approach to the design of its Nexus phones. Signing a single, reliable manufacturer up to a multi-year deal might be a good way to go about this.

One thing's for sure, Google's oldest hardware partner (HTC also made the first ever Android phone, the T-Mobile G1) could sure use some help. Sales of the HTC's phones have been pretty disappointing for a couple of years now, and the luke-warm reception to last year's HTC One M9 didn't help.
We're expecting to see a sharper, more innovative HTC 10 some time this month.

HTC One A9 now available for £269 in the UK

The HTC One A9 is an attractive phone, but costly. A seller in the UK is offering new units with manufacturer warranty for £270.
That's a sweet deal, considering the same handset costs £400 from HTC's official site. We found a slightly better deal at Amazon, £360, but that's still £100 off. Some retailers and carriers actually have the nerve to ask for over £400 for the SIM-free unit.

P.S. The HTC 10 - the One M9 successor - is coming soon (April 19) and will sport a design heavily inspired by the A9 but with much better specs.
