(Doogee)
Doogee has unveiled their latest offering, the F5 phablet. Doogee joins the affordable smartphone market with their newest smartphone priced at only $140. Given the aggressive price point, the Doogee F5 actually has decent specs and features.
According to Android Headlines, Doogee aimed to create a unique phablet that set itself apart from the iPhone and other current smartphones that look like iPhones. Instead, the smartphone manufacturer from China has unveiled a square shaped device that is made out of strong and lightweight liquid metal. The smartphone is 7.8 mm thick and weights 171 grams.
The Doogee F5 has a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS Sharp Screen display with a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution, 401 ppi pixel density and 82 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phablet has 16 GB of internal memory but can be expanded up to 32 GB.
The F5 handset also features a 13 MP rear camera with a Samsung 3M2 CMOS sensor, dual-LED flash and autofocus and a 5 MP front-facing camera. The Samsung ISOCELL sensor allows the handset to capture crisp and dynamic images, even in low light conditions.
The F5 also offers users security via a fingerprint scanner located below the rear camera. The fingerprint scanner features 360-degree identification and can record five sets of fingerprints. It only takes 0.5 seconds to unlock the device.
In terms of connectivity, the Doogee F5 has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS capabilities. It also has dual-SIM with dual standby capabilities. The F5 phablet comes preloaded with the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

Elephone’s Bezel-Less S3 Handset Coming Next Month

Elephone is not exactly a big company, but this China-based smartphone manufacturer is trying to win over consumers with great design and affordable prices. Elephone has introduced a number of interesting devices in the last couple of months, like the Elephone Vowney, and their P9000 line of devices. Now, the Elephone P9000 Edge is arguably the most interesting P9000 devices, mainly because of its design. This device sports no bezel on the sides, while it is quite sleek-looking in general, though it is not available for purchase just yet.
Speaking of bezel-less design, we’ve already talked about yet another such Elephone-branded devices, the Elephone S3. Well, we no have more info regarding this phone, courtesy of our source at the company. We now know that the Elephone S3 will be launched next month, even though the exact date is still unknown. This handset will feature a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device will be fueled by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor, and will pack in a 2,100mAh battery which supports Quick Charging. The fingerprint scanner will be placed on the back of this phone, below the 13-megapixel main camera.
As already mentioned, the Elephone S3 will be released next month, and the device is going to be available in Silver, Rose Gold, Grey and Gold color options. The company has already released the promo video for this smartphone, so if you’re interested in checking that out, you can take a look at the embedded clip down below. This video actually reveals some additional design choices, as well as some additional features, like the LED notification light for example, which is also included in this package. That is pretty much it, the Elephone S3 will be released soon, and yet we still don’t know when will P9000 Edge going to be available, and it seems like quite a few people are interested in buying that particular phone. Either way, we’ll let you know if the company releases any more info regarding that handset, so stay tuned.

Stop paying for big brand overhead; Buy an unlocked phone online (Elephone)

I’m currently in the review process for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and it is undoubtedly the most attractive phone I’ve ever seen in person. It’s also about $800. That kind of money used to be what you’d pay for a model with upgraded memory or some kind perks. Now, Samsung appears to be making it the new normal.
First, lets get a couple facts out of the way. The Samsung Galaxy S7 retails for $669 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge comes in at $779 at my carrier of choice, T-Mobile. That breaks down to $27.92 a month with zero up front for the vanilla Galaxy S7, and $30 a month with a $59.99 down payment for the curvaceous S7 Edge. Add in tax (~7% here in Ohio) and you’re well over $700 or $800 for your phone of choice. That’s a lot of money.
I think it’s time we stopped putting up with this.
These phones are marvels of technology for sure. But, at $800 you have to ask yourself what you’re really buying. Through bulk rate buying, Samsung can get the component cost down to about $255 for the Galaxy S7.  Add in other overhead like advertising, manufacturing and human costs,  et. al, and you have a recipe for one of the most expensive phones out there.
Samsung spent $45 million advertising the Samsung Galaxy S6. Forty. Five. Million. Dollars. For a phone that wasn’t that good.
I’m sorry, flagships. I just can’t anymore.
Alternatives
I love phones. I never seem to get burned out on them, no matter how many times I’ve switched. And I’ve switched a lot. I love experiencing what a new phone has to offer. I love seeing a company’s vision for what the mobile space should look like. I just love phones.
Browsing through Gearbest’s listings shows me that I don’t have to wait two years between new experiences. I don’t have to spend $800 to get a well built phone with great specs. Here are some of my favorites currently on Gearbest for literally half (or less) of a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

    Elephone P8000 packs a 4,200 cell and 3GB of RAM for $210

Elephone is among the emerging Chinese manufacturers that aims to make a name for itself by offering affordable, yet well-equipped smartphones. The upcoming P8000 is one such example and it offers plenty of bang for the buck.

The smartphone's chief claim to fame is its worldwide LTE support, a rarity with less prominent Chinese offerings. The functionality is delivered by Mediatek's MT6753 chipset, announced a few months ago. It is basically an underclocked version of the more popular MT6752, and the octa-core processor within it ticks at 1.5GHz.
Much like the P7000 which it doesn't replace, but rather complements, the P8000 is built around a 1080p 5.5-inch display. Elephone has fitted the P8000 with 3GB of RAM, though internal storage is less impressive at 16GB. A microSD slot hasn't been quoted by the source, but the P7000 has it, and we expect the P8000 to come with one as well.
      Elephone P8000
It doesn't stop there and the Elephone P8000 packs an ample 4,200mAh battery. A 13MP main camera, joined by a 5MP selfie shooter takes care of capturing memories, and a fingerprint sensor on the back is another welcome tick on the specsheet.
The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop upon launch, but the best part is that according to the source, all of the above will set you back a mere $210.

    BlackBerry Classic &. OnePlus X

    By     No comments:

    BlackBerry Classic vs. OnePlus X

And we begin… We start the first match-up of this year’s voting with what we’ve dubbed the “play-in” round, for the lack of a better term. A 25-item bracket isn’t the most visually pleasing, especially if you’re OCD, after all, so we needed to make it work.
At any rate, our first matchup is BlackBerry Classic vs. OnePlus X. Yes, the BlackBerry Classic is a tad older, it’s been out for well over a year now, but it is the most recent hardware refresh and runs BlackBerry 10. Sure, the Passport runs it as well, but this phone is newer and this is probably the latest smartphone we’ll see for the year, or longer. Sure, we’ll see more BlackBerry phones this year, but likely running Android like the Priv.
What about OnePlus X? The device isn’t the most powerful of the OnePlus family, that title goes to the One follow-up in the OnePlus 2. But I’d argue that the One Plus X looks and feels more premium than the more spec’d-out OnePlus 2. I’m a big fan of glass front/back designs. I get a tad excited when I see those features. One huge benefit it has is its price, too, and it’s one of the best phones in the $250 price point. It looks a heck of a lot more premium than its price suggests.
But how does the OnePlus X compare to the BlackBerry Classic? That’s for you to decide.
Vote below, and vote as often as you’d like. Have fun and be kind to each other.
    BlackBerry Classic
For the BlackBerry faithful, the Classic is a sight for sore eyes. The approach by the Waterloo company is simple: rather than taking the competition head on, BlackBerry is putting its focus on retaining the customers it still has. That means more devices like the Passport and Classic, which offer that familiar (and terrific) typing experience with excellent enterprise security. If you want to relive the glory days of physical keyboards, the Classic is the perfect device for you… read more.
    OnePlus X
The wealthiest team in sports doesn’t always win the championship. Sometimes all you need are the right pieces, the willingness to take risks, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get your reward. Nobody would have predicted a team like Leicester City, which finished 14th last campaign, to be among the top teams in the English Premier League this season. Yet The Foxes are right near the top.
That analogy very much parallels the mobile market, which is quickly becoming a more diverse and accessible place full of strong competition. Companies such as Apple and Samsung gained an early advantage because they had the riches to create some of the most desirable smartphones we’ve ever seen. But just because a phone is powerful and expensive doesn’t mean it’s the best. Not anymore… Read more

The highlight of the Ulefone Vienna is undoubtedly its independent HiFi chipset – the NXP Smart Audio PA – which packs both DAC and an operational amplifier. The Vienna's audio system will have a frequency response range from 20 Hz to 20 KHz, covering all the sound frequencies audible to human ears. The 109db high SNR and <0.01% low THD are said to ensure users will receive a pure audio experience.
Among the main specs, Ulefone stressed that the Vienna will be equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p LTPS display from Sharp and 32 GB of onboard storage, comfortably accommodating high-quality music files. Other specs include a MTK6753 8-core 64-bit chipset, 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, a 13 MP Panasonic MN34172 camera with dual flash, and a 3,250-mAh Sony li-polymer battery.

Ulefone’s Metal-Clad Vienna Smartphone Has Been Announced

Ulefone is not exactly the most popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer, but this company has introduced a number of devices in the last year or so, and are trying to appeal to consumers with low prices and well-looking phones. We’ve talked about the Ulefone Future recently, the company’s bezel-less handset, and have reviewed quite a few Ulefone-branded smartphones thus far. Well, the company has introduced yet another phone recently, so let’s see what it has to offer, shall we.
This phone is called Ulefone Vienna, it is made out of metal, and a rather solid set of specs. The device features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) LTPS display, along with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of internal storage. MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor fuels this phone, and a 3,250mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 13-megapixel snapper (Panasonic’s MN34172 sensor) is placed on the back of the device, along with a dual-LED flash. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of the Ulefone Vienna, and the device also sports three capacitive buttons which are located below its display, as you can see in the provided images. Ulefone has built in a HiFi NXP Smart Audio PA chip here, which packs DAC and an operational amplifier, which should, essentially, improve the audio output. The IR blaster is also available here, and Ulefone actually opted to include a non-standard physical key here as well. If you take a look at the left side of the device, you will notice a physical button which is not meant to be a power / lock, nor a volume rocker. Well, that button can be used to start the camera or voice recording on this device, though it definitely looks like a power button. Above that physical key, you will notice the SIM tray which is able to take two SIM card slots. The Ulefone Vienna measures 153.5 x 77.85 x 8.6mm, while it weighs 156 grams.
That is pretty much it as far as specifications go. The Ulefone Vienna will be available in Black, White, Grey and Pink color options, all of which you can check out in the gallery down below. We still don’t know when will this device going to be available, nor how much will it cost, but you can expect Ulefone to release such info soon.

    Lava Iris

    By     No comments:

Lava Iris Fuel F2 With 3000mAh Battery Available Online at Rs. 4,444

Lava appears set to launch a variant of the Iris Fuel F1 smartphone, the Iris Fuel F2, priced at Rs. 4,444. Although the handset is available to buy via an e-commerce website, the company is yet to officially launch the smartphone in India. It is worth mentioning that the Lava Iris Fuel F1 was launched with a higher priced tag of Rs. 8,700 in October last year.
The dual-SIM dual-standby (GSM+GSM) supporting Lava Iris Fuel F2 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) resolution display with pixel density of 196ppi. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with 512MB of RAM.
The Lava Iris Fuel F2 houses 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, along with a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front-facing camera. In the connectivity section, the handset supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1, FM radio, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3000mAh Li-po battery, which can be said as the smartphone's USP in the given price tag. The battery is rated to deliver up to 15.5 hours talk time in 3G connectivity and 300 hours of standby time on both SIM cards.]
The Iris Fuel F2 measures 142.5x72.5x10.5mm, and is available in Black and White colour variants from eBay.
Interestingly, the predecessor Lava Iris Fuel F1 came with the same display specs, Android OS version, processor and inbuilt storage along with a larger 2GB RAM, 4000mAh battery and better rear (8-megapixels) and front-facing (2-megapixels) cameras.
Download the Gadgets 360 app for Android and iOS to stay up to date with the latest tech news, product reviews, and exclusive deals on the popular mobiles.
The Lava Iris Fuel F2 has popped up online on e-Bay India before getting an official announcement by the company. The handset is priced at Rs 4444 on the e-commerce site and looks to be a slightly downgraded version of its predecessor which currently sells for around Rs 7499.
The biggest step-down is probably in the battery department, with the Lava Iris Fuel F2 going for a 3000mAh unit instead of a 4000mAh one like its previous variant. Still, the current capacity is decent for an entry-level phone thanks to a maximum standby time of 300 hours and 2G talk time of 31 hours.
Taking a closer look at its other features, the Iris Fuel F2 carries a 5-inch FWVGA TFT (480 x 854p) screen which outputs a pixel density of 196ppi. The device gets its power from a 1.3Ghz quad-core processor of unknown make which works in tandem with 512MB of RAM to keep the phone going.
A rapid take on the main specifications of the Lava Iris Fuel F2:
    – OS: Android 5.1 Lollipop– Display: 5-inch TFT, 480 x 854 pixels– Storage: 8GB, expandable up to 32GB– RAM: 512MB– Battery: 3000mAh– CPU: quad-core 1.3GHz– Camera: 5MP rear, 0.3MP front– Size: 142.5 x 72.5 x 10.5mm– Connectivity: 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual-SIM, GPS, microUSB 2.0
With regards to the Lava phone’s photography abilities, the manufacturer has equipped it with a 5MP camera accompanied by LED flash. There’s also a VGA (0.3MP) snapper for selfies and video calls. Users will be in possession of 8GB of internal room for their storage needs. They can expand on the phone’s memory capacity up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.
Also See: Lava Twinpad hybrid tablet launched at Rs 15999
Like we said above, the Lava Iris Fuel F2 is currently up for sale via eBay at Rs 4444. The company will probably announce it officially soon.

Lava Iris Fuel F2 has a low price tag

Lava is a popular brand in India and has just launched another new smartphone. The newest device from the company is dubbed the Lava Iris Fuel F2 and it has a low price tag that’s likely to appeal to potential buyers looking for a budget handset. The phone is exclusively available from eBay.
The Iris Fuel F2 is the latest in the company’s Fuel series, and specifications include a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and a 5-inch display with resolution of 854 x 480. It has 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD to 32GB). The 3000 mAh battery should offer juice for up to 31 hours of 2G talk time. Camera-wise there’s a 5-megapixel camera at the rear with LED flash, and a VGA front-facing sensor.
There’s no 4G LTE with this phone but it does have 3G, 2G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options. There’s also FM Radio and a 3.5mm audio jack, and it’s a dual SIM phone with dual standby. It runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. You can purchase the Lava Iris Fuel F2 from eBay.in at a price of Rs. 4,444 with free shipping. It’s available right now in black or white colors with estimated delivery of a few days.
Readers might want to compare this new Lava smartphone with another new phone that was launched today, the Intex Cloud Breeze. It has a lower price of Rs. 3,999, a lesser battery capacity and only a dual-core processor. It also runs the older Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS but has more RAM at 1GB.
Do you find the new Lava Iris Fuel F2 an attractive proposition for its price? Maybe you’re more inclined to save money by opting for the cheaper Intex Cloud Breeze or another new smartphone? We always appreciate your comments so do send them in.

Lenovo Vibe P1 review: Goes big on battery life, but that’s about it

The Lenovo Vibe P1 was announced alongside the P1m in India last year. The Vibe P1 packs in some mid-range hardware, but its highlight is clearly the 5000mAh battery which is where it gets its ‘Power Player’ tagline from. The Vibe P1 is the bigger sibling compared to the Vibe P1m and certainly comes with better specs and a higher price tag of Rs 15,999.
Motorola clearly popularised the budget segment with the Moto G but with handsets like Xiaomi’s Redmi series and the recently announced LeEco Le 1s, it is getting really hard to stand out in this price competitive segment. So does the Lenovo Vibe P1 with its 5000mAh battery, metal body and fingerprint reader stand out from the rest of the competition? Let’s find out.
    Build and Design: 7/10
When the smartphone was announced, we did have a lot of expectations from the Vibe P1. More so, it looked pretty good from afar with its metal back that also hides the large non-removable battery.
    Lenovo Vibe P1 Review (2)
On the front we have a black front face with a 5.5 inch display at the centre sporting a 72% screen-to-body ratio. The top bezel area contains the receiver, notification LED, front-facing camera and the ambient light and proximity sensors. The bottom area of the bezel features two capacitive buttons for the recents menu and the back key. The home button in the center also houses the fingerprint reader and can be pressed down to get to the homescreen.
    Lenovo Vibe P1 Review (14)
The slider button on the left is used to turn on the Ultra Power Saver mode, that switches off most apps.
After using Vibe P1 for a while we have come to the conclusion that fit and finish could have been a bit better. The metal finish is not as smooth as we wanted it to be but that’s really not the problem. The problem with the design is the use of plastic inserts at the top and bottom. The cutouts (shown above) look shabby at best and jut out killing the seamless look of the back cover. We did wish that Lenovo went with directly accessible SIM card and microSD card trays instead of hiding them under a plastic cover on the top. It does take some time to figure out where you put in the SIM card and microSD card if you haven’t referred to the manual already.
While we appreciated the big battery it does come with some heft at 189 grams.
    Features: 7.5/10
The Lenovo Vibe P1 is definitely better than the P1m even though it lacks the nano coating feature that makes the latter splash-proof. The P1 packs in a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Inside sits the now ageing Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz and an Adreno 405 GPU.
The handset packs in 2GB of RAM, that seems a bit less considering its price tag (and the competition) but makes up for it with 32GB of internal storage and 128GB of expandable microSD card support.
    Lenovo Vibe P1 Review (12)
While we liked the colour reproduction of the display, something that was not so impressive were its brightness levels. This in turn affected its outdoor performance and left us cringing to read notifications and messages in direct sunlight. Adding to this was the tricky Auto-brightness that forced us to turn it off most of the time.
On the Vibe P1m we found a vibrant display that was brighter than that on the P1 but lost out due to bad viewing angles.
    Performance: 7/10
The massive 5000mAh battery aside, the Lenovo Vibe P1 delivers as expected. This would bring it in line with the Motorola Moto G Turbo that packs in similar hardware. We saw a bit of dropped frames and a some stutter while scrolling in apps but not something that would hamper the user experience and this only happened occasionally.

Lenovo Vibe Alpha design with comprehensive specs

We spend a lot of our time at Phones Review covering new smartphones but occasionally we like to take a look at concept designs to tease ourselves with possibilities. Today we’re showing a Lenovo Vibe Alpha design that comes with comprehensive specs. The designer particularly focuses on the display technologies that are used for this idea.
This Lenovo Vibe Alpha concept is a good-looking handset as you can see in the image below. We feel the reverse of the handset in carbon fiber with a brushed aluminum camera strip and engraved logo is especially appealing. It’s built with an anodized aluminum frame with nicely chamfered edges. It also meets IP67 certification standard with nano-coated ports and acoustic vents. It has been designed by DeviantArt member r4yNTv who has put a huge amount of work into an extremely comprehensive specs sheet for the smartphone.
For example rather than merely telling us it has a 5-inch display with Full HD display resolution of 1920 x 1080, we’re informed of many of the finer details such as 1500:1 contrast ratio and 90% NTSC color space. Add to that display enhancements such as MediaTek’s MiraVision Display engine, SmartScreen, color tuning, ClearMotion 60 fps interpolation, and MiraVision HQ 1080p upscaling, and you begin to see just how much effort has gone into this Lenovo Vibe Alpha idea. Oh, and don’t forget display protection with Asahi Dragontrail-X Cover Glass.
Further specifications include a 2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 64-bit octa-core processor and Vulkan API-ready G6200 graphics. There’s 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 200GB), and a 3400 mAh non-removable battery. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with Samsung Britecell sensor, f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and 4K video capture. Up front there’s an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture, 80-degree wide-angle lens, and 1080p video capture.
The Lenovo Vibe Alpha is a dual SIM dual standby smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity, dual front-facing speakers, fingerprint sensor, and USB Type-C port. It’s running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with a guaranteed update to Android N. Approximate dimensions are 138mm x 69mm x 8.2mm with a weight of around 130 to 140g. The designer even gives a price of around $199. An extra suggestion is a larger Lenovo Vibe Alpha Plus with 5.5-inch display and other improved specs for around $229.
We rarely see as much work go into a concept design as this one, so we urge you to check out the source link below for the full gamut of specs. Now we’d like to hear what you think of this Lenovo Vibe Alpha design. Would you like to see Lenovo produce something similar to this concept?

    Xiaomi Mi 5

Sorry, Guys: Xiaomi Mi 5 Is Not Headed To Europe Just Yet, That Polish Listing Is Fake

    Xiaomi Mi5
Xiaomi said the promotional announcement of the Mi 5 flagship on a Polish commercial site is not real. The company has yet to officially announce on when the handset will launch in Europe.(Photo : Mi5 Xiaomi)
Xiaomi has yet to officially announce a European launch of its Mi 5 flagship and adds that the handset's promotion on a commerce site based in Poland is not authentic.
Hugo Barra, Xiaomi VP, has been promising to launch the Mi 5 in Europe, although other details such as pricing and dates are still undetermined.
According to the Polish site in question, Xiaomi's latest handsets, such as the Mi 5 and the Mi 4S, will soon be available to its European customers. The site even promised to add more details such as launch date and pricing very soon. At first glance, one would believe the Polish site is the actual Xiaomi Poland site, but the company confirmed it's not authentic.
The Mi 5 will reportedly come in three distinct versions. The first and second versions will share similar features, such as a 5.15-inch display with curved glass enclosure 3D, 3 GB RAM and a trio of color options that include white, black and gold.
The first version of the Mi 5 will run on Snapdragon processor 820 at 1.8 GHz, while the second version will run on Snapdragon 820 at 2.15 GHz. The first version will also have 32 GB UFS as opposed to the second version's 64 GB UFS.
The third Mi 5 version will have features that include a 5.15-inch display, Snapdragon 820 at 2.15 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 128 GB UFS and 3D ceramic housing. It will only be available in a black color option.
All three versions share a number of other impressive features that include a 16 MP camera that has 4-axis OIS, full-featured NFC, 600 Mbps 4G+ connectivity and more.
Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Mi 5's Touch ID sensor feature as well as a retina sensor that will allow users to unlock their devices using their eyes.
Since its launch at the MWC 2016, the Mi 5 flagship has been gaining a lot of attention from consumers who are seeking a handset that not only has advanced features, but is also affordably-priced. The Xiaomi Mi 5 will reportedly have starting prices as low as $300.
However, Xiaomi's handsets seemed to have limited availability outside of their home country, which has been a major problem for the company. Rival company Meizu has, so far, outpaced Xiaomi in terms of expanding its presence outside the Mainland, with its handsets also being available in India and the European Union.

Xiaomi releases new 10000 mAh power bank with USB Type-C port

The power bank sports other important features like protection from short circuit, output overcurrent, temperature, input overload and reset protection. However, the power bank can also charge up anything else that uses the new connector port, such as the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, OnePlus 2, and even Apple's svelte MacBook.
Because it includes a USB Type-C port, it's very clear that the Mi Powerbank Pro is meant for those who are going to buy the manufacturer's latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5. Now, this power bank is named MI Powerbank Pro, it is made out of aluminum, and it has a 10,000mAh battery capacity, while it also offers fast charging for a variety of voltages (5V/2A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A).
Xiaomi recently announced their new Mi 5 smartphone, the handset comes with USB Type C and now the company has launched a new powerbank for the device, the Xiaomi Mi Powerbank. While only weighing in at 223 grams. The most interesting feature of this device is the two-way fast charging and a Micro-USB Type-C adapter which is missing in most of the power banks out there in the market.
The 10000 mAh Mi Powerbank Pro is priced at ¥149, translating to approximately Rs 1542.
This is quite impressive when you compare it with the 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank (22mm) launched previous year. The company is giving a 18W ultra fast charger with it which is said to charge the device 40% faster and reduces the charging time to just 3.5 hours. Apart from that, it also has a nine layered circuit protection developed by the Texas Instruments for preventing the device from any damage. If you want a power bank that has some style and is a bit smarter than most, the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank Prime looks like a fine option, and it will be affordable as well with a price tag of around $22.

The case of the missing iPhone 7 audio jack

    apple-event-sept9-2015-iphone6splus-3263.jpg
Will Apple's next iPhone include stereo speakers at the expense of the traditional audio jack?
    James Martin/CNET
You may get better sound out of the next iPhone, but you might have to do without the standard 3.5mm audio jack.
Photos of an alleged iPhone 7 case posted by a blogger on French website Nowhereelse.fr appear to back up previous rumors of dual speakers. But the traditional audio jack is missing in action. The photos clearly show two large slots at the bottom of the phone that would support dual speakers but with no room leftover for an audio jack, which resides on the bottom of existing iPhone models.
Another slot, on the top back of the case, shows a spot where the camera would reside. The slot seems large enough to support two camera lenses. Rumors have suggested that the iPhone 7 Plus will come with a dual-camera system but that the standard iPhone 7 will stick with just a single camera. So the slot itself could simply be the usual space reserved for the lens and its accompanying LED flash, and not a two-camera setup.
Last year's iPhone 6S and 6S Plus didn't offer enough new must-have features to convince customers to upgrade, a factor that industry watchers say contributed to flat iPhone sales last quarter. To regain lost revenue and compete with other companies, such as Samsung, Apple needs to spruce up the iPhone 7 with more new features to lure in first-time smartphone buyers as well as those looking to buy up.
Dual stereo speakers would be a plus for the new iPhone, which has long been saddled with a mono speaker. Such speakers would better reproduce stereo recordings to make them sound like they're coming from different directions. The current lineup of iPads uses stereo speakers, as do some Google Nexus, HTC One and Sony Xperia model phones.
But what of the audio jack? Rumors have also claimed that Apple will jettison the 3.5mm audio jack used for traditional earbuds, headphones, external speakers and similar accessories. Instead, Apple will reportedly use the Lightning port to pipe through sound and will possibly make a wireless version of its EarPods. That leaves open the question of what you'd do if you needed to plug in a Lightning cable to charge the iPhone at the same time you wanted to listen to music through your wired earbuds.
Assuming Apple does away with the familiar audio jack, the company would have to have some viable work-around in place, otherwise it would risk making too radical a change that would turn off many potential iPhone 7 buyers.
The photos posted by French blogger Steve Hemmerstoffer also show certain features remaining in the same location. The power button, volume control and the switch to put the phone into vibrate mode are all in the same spots as on the current iPhone.
Hemmerstoffer said he obtained the photos from a source that has always proved trustworthy. So he believes the images are legitimate. The inclusion of stereo speakers and other details indicated by the photos also are in line with information leaked last week by Japanese blog Mac Otakara and in January by Chinese site Anzhuo.
Still, it's wise to take all this information with a grain of salt for now.
Apple did not respond to CNET's request for comment.

Apple reportedly planning an iPhone with 5.8-Inch OLED display, rumoured to launch in 2017-2018

Apple might now go the Samsung way and may reportedly manufacture a 5.8-inch iPhone featuring rigid AMOLED display panels in 2018 or even earlier in 2017.
According to a pre-publication report in DigiTimes as cited by Motley Fool, Samsung Display has been picked as Apple’s first candidate to supply AMOLED (Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) panels while LG Display and Japan Display will be added later as AMOLED suppliers. All three companies already supply Apple with mobile screens.
It is believed that Apple might be prepping a major switch to OLED screen technology for iPhones by 2018, which indicates that one should not expect  an (AM)OLED iPhone before an ‘iPhone 8’ refresh in 2018. The report states that Apple is estimated to ship about 50 million AMOLED iPhones in the first year of availability.
Apple is reportedly planning to release two variants of its large-screen iPhone 7 Plus this year out of which, one will be with a single-lens camera and one with a dual-lens camera. The dual-lens variant has been rumoured to be marketed as the iPhone Pro respectively.
In addition, we’ve so far known that Apple is working on a new 4-inch iPhone called 5se, as it toted to be an upgraded 2013 5s model. According to a report by 9To5Mac, the upcoming 4-inch iPhone will be called SE and not iPhone 5se. The company has decided to drop ‘5’ from the name. This means, the iPhone SE will be the first ever upgraded model without a number in its name.
